This hotel turned out to be a pleasant stopover. Nearby’s a shopping center where you can pick up food and sweets. Across the way, bars, cafes, and restaurants offer a huge selection, but if I wasn’t up for a night out, I’d stay in the hotel. Smart move: the food at breakfast is solid. Green curry, my Thai obsession, is something else here, melting in your mouth. Maybe it’s the nearby Novotel sharing a chef—who knows, who cares—it’s delicious! Bonus points for coffee machines with ground coffee all day. Priceless, especially when you need a kick. And for Accor Platinum Plus, the food prices are a real treat. The room works: enough space, a handy table, a good shower, and room for clothes and luggage. After Bangkok, where I land first, this place is my breather. I head here almost right away to slow down for a week or two, tuning into Asia’s pace. Windows don’t open—standard for Asian hotels—though I’d love a street breeze now and then. Minor quibble. And the planes! They soar overhead for takeoff or landing, turning it into a front-row aviation show—pure thrill. The staff rock: always ready to guide, advise, and help out. Still, this hotel is my spot to recharge. Will I return? You bet, especially for that curry and the flyovers!

Our stay at Ibis Chiang Mai was wonderful. We got a warm welcome and comfortable check in from the front office staff Kie Maria & Japan. They have been so helpful and kind I can’t be happier. Our breakfast was just what we needed and we had Joy who remembered our choice of eggs and always greeted us with the warmest smile and made our mornings very Joyful. The security at the hotel is also so kind I must mention how they all take care of their guests. Felt very much at home. The rooms are clean and shower and bed both very good. Our stay was perfect and we will definitely choose Ibis Nimman when we come back to Chiang Mai.

The staff is friendly and approachable. Is near to Nimman walk street and Maya shopping mall. The hotel is cozy and chill. There is a 24hr gym and swimming pool. Gopuek Godum Chiangmai is right behind our hotel serving toast and pan egg, porridge breakfast

“Ibis: Good Enough!”

The room smelt a little dank but nice design and easy enough to sleep in. Staff are great, breakfast isn’t amazing but good enough (cold eggs but good cereal, yoghurt etc) and location is a little out of the city with heavy traffic usually to get in towards the centre.
