the hotel itself is very new and the view is stunning. Staffs are friendly and helpful. i thought it will be difficult to come but they have a transportation service it is very easy and convenience

Stayed 4 nights here at the start of a 5-location trip around Thailand. The arrival experience is pretty special - the tide being out, it involved a pick up from our speedboat transfer into a small dinghy, then a wade up the beach to the steps of the hotel. Stayed 4 nights here at the start of a 5-location trip around Thailand. The arrival experience is pretty special - the tide being out, it involved a pick up from our speedboat transfer into a small dinghy, then a wade up the beach to the steps of the hotel. Nice welcome and good check in process. Rooms are up the side of the hill, and if you have never visited this type of jungle island in SE Asia it really is a beautiful all round experience. The views are amazing and you really are living amongst the rainforest wildlife. There’s a central stairway leading up to the rooms or you can get the powerful (has to be!!) diesel golf buggy type vehicle up and down quickly & easily enough. Very comfy bed, AC decent, lovely big bathroom too. Slept well. We had monkeys on our balcony one morning…special stuff. The facade of the Centara is quite odd and many of the public areas incl the pool are a bit ‘grey concrete’ - sort of a dated eastern block look. Strange, and I would hope that they’ll adapt this in time. It’s unsightly. The hotel was pretty quiet while we were there, and seeing as it it cut off from the local village and roads entirely it made for a rather too quiet stay for us, and we were glad to only be there for 4 days to be honest. Restaurant is OK - nothing bad to say, but certainly not any sort of outstanding experience to eat there. The staff are all lovely though and do their utmost. Pool bar shut completely at 5pm which was disappointing; two hours left of daylight after then! Weird lack of enthusiasm from management to make money from thirsty tourists ;-) The sunset bar never had anyone staffing it at all. We went twice and just stood there…nobody showed up. Walk around the rocks and along the beach to the local Saii Village is worth it. Good range of bars and restaurants, it’s fun. Need a torch for sure! We saw snake tracks on the beach coming back; eek. All in all we enjoyed it here but it is quiet and rather limited. A few days is enough.
