“Muay Thai Beginners session”

We enjoyed a fantastic Muay Thai Beginner's session today. We have a kickboxing background but there was loads to learn for specific Muay Thai skills. Corey and Yod (apologies for any spelling errors) were brilliant instructors; patient and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend 👍

“Cozy hotel opposite Ao Nang beach and close to the night market.”

It’s a nice hotel right opposite the Ao Nang beach and walking distance to the night market. We stayed here for 3 nights, the staff is always smiling and helpful. Our check in process was smooth and we got a room with a garden view (room options with pool access is also available). The room was neat with comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Basic facilities like electric kettle with coffee/ tea was available. The hotel has ample parking, fairly large swimming pool with pool bar, multi cuisine restaurant, and fitness centre. The breakfast spread was ok (there is scope for improvement here) but as the hotel is in the market area there are a lot of good affordable restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The night market is an added advantage which opens at 4.00 pm everyday with plenty of affordable options for shopping, food and drinks.

“Nice pools good location”

This was our second week in Ao Nang, we had a pool access room which was great, direct balcony into a long pool, our room had ladder style steps which were quite difficult to use on way out, some rooms had stone steps into pool, I would book those next time. This was our second week in Ao Nang, we had a pool access room which was great, direct balcony into a long pool, our room had ladder style steps which were quite difficult to use on way out, some rooms had stone steps into pool, I would book those next time. Plenty of sun loungers were available for the whole week we were there. They were not the most comfortable but had parasoles and tables which was great. Pool bar staff were all lovely. Food ordered from pool bar appeared quickly, we enjoyed 2-4-1 cocktails in the afternoon happy hour. Rooms were a bit basic no proper wardrobe just a rail and no drawers so had to live out of suitcase for the week which is a bit annoying, the fridge/minibar was in a cupboard I would rather have a cupboard for clothes. Tea/coffee facilities and free drinking water provided, shower was good. Air con was good. Location was great as close to bars restaurants and night market, beach over the road was lovely and longtail boats to Railay go from here, amazing sunsets over beach. Breakfast was not good very chaotic not a great selection didn’t really enjoy it at all, it let the hotel down, more Indian food than anything else, which makes sense as many Indian families staying.

I want to preface this by saying the hotel has great potential and is positioned in a fantastic location. In addition, staff are so helpful and truly cannot do enough for you. I want to preface this by saying the hotel has great potential and is positioned in a fantastic location. In addition, staff are so helpful and truly cannot do enough for you. However, the hotel rooms are very outdated - think early 00’s. There isn’t a wardrobe - only a rail with 4/5 hangers so we lived out of our suitcase for 5 days, the bed is really uncomfortable (I know this is personal preference but it was literally rock hard). There is no balcony furniture which is unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed - normally there is a couple chairs for guests to enjoy the balcony. The aircon is really good and there is also a ceiling fan which helps with air flow too. However the room is just generally outdated. We also encountered a flood in our room late one night - we returned from dinner to find the floor almost entirely flooded with an inch of water. We didn’t know the source of it, so rang down to reception who sent someone immediately, however a young boy turned up with 2 towels (I had said on the phone that the water was coming out of the bathroom and had gone all the way along to the balcony doors). An engineer was called immediately who changed the bidet gun as this is where water was coming from. The two staff members then used towels to mop up our floor, which we were so grateful for. Breakfast is chaotic - it is not a suitable size for the number of guests in the hotel. Food very quickly depletes and is not replenished quick enough to deal with the demand from guests. This is also a very family friendly hotel - if you have small children it would be great, there is a shallow kids pool which is a really good size and a deeper pool which is great for swimming, however we were woken up most mornings to a child somewhere along our corridor screaming their head off - not the fault of the hotel necessarily, but the walls must be paper thin. All in all, we are grateful for the location as it allowed us to explore Ao Nang and visit the Landmark Night Market which was great, but if we were to return to Ao Nang we would choose different accommodation and we wouldn’t recommend for couples.
