Rustic, hot, and acceptable for one night before boarding the pier at 11:30, especially if you want to reach the lake without rushing in the morning. We arrived in the early afternoon and mostly just relaxed. During the day it was perfectly fine. At night, however, the internal fans were not sufficient to cool the room and we struggled to get it quite right. oh well, no big worries. But , and unfortunately the dogs on the property—very friendly during the day—seemed spooked by something and were barking most of the night. Pros (Good location, 7-Eleven nearby, Good value compared with other options in the area) Cons (Heat at night, Sleep disruption, Limited things to do nearby, Grab or Bolt can be harder to arrange) Net-net: Worth considering for a short overnight stay, but bring earplugs.

Note this is anything but a resort. The pictures at booking.com hardly do justice. The rooms and restaurant were not in the best shape/quality, and English communication with the staff wasn't so easy. Note this is anything but a resort. The pictures at booking.com hardly do justice. The rooms and restaurant were not in the best shape/quality, and English communication with the staff wasn't so easy. Also note the hotel is located not far from the main road and nearby town, so it isn't really that secluded. Yet, it has nice rural ambience and the lady taking care of me was nice. Plus, it's a short drive from Cheow Lan Pier

“Excellent value for money for a one night stop over”

Liked · We stayed here prior to a 2 day trip around Koh Sok national park. For this the location is perfect, about a 10 minute taxi drive from the pier. The owner was really friendly and helpful in booking a taxi etc, despite her English not being the best. No restuarant, but the owner is happy to… lisää

Liked · We stayed here prior to a 2 day trip around Koh Sok national park. For this the location is perfect, about a 10 minute taxi drive from the pier. The owner was really friendly and helpful in booking a taxi etc, despite her English not being the best. No restuarant, but the owner is happy to order a takeaway for you, and the price/quality/variety was really good. Disliked · Room was nice and clean but the bathroom was a bit grubby. Breakfast was a strange mix, fine if you'll eat anything but wouldn't be so good for fussy eaters. There is a 7 Eleven about a 10-15 min walk away if needed.
