“Great value holiday at a friendly establishment”

Booked two weeks prior to departure. Was a little apprehensive based on some of the previous reviews for Hotel Esra. But on arrival at almost midnight, we were warmly welcomed and restaurant had opened late so that they could prepare a meal for us. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony. The bathroom had a dated decor but a tremendous shower. Our room was cleaned daily by a wonderful team with excellent towel folding skills for animals and hearts that greeted us on our return to the room. Air conditioning in the room if needed. We visited in late April for seven nights and were some of the first visitors for 2026 summer season. The staff are excellent, so warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them when guests made requests. The restaurant has an excellent varied choice at all meal times and is very clean, the waiting staff are very attentive but not overly so. Tea and coffee making facilities are located at various points around the hotel but each room/suite has tea making facilities, a fridge and daily bottled water. The pool areas are meticulously maintained, phenomenal number of sun beds with parasols. One pool has three slides with a larger pool adjacent, a further larger pool and a paddling pool complete the water facilities. The staff are so accommodating with high levels of spoken English and engage at every opportunity to develop their abilities. Because it was early in the season when we visited, nightly entertainment was limited but guests enjoyed the opportunity to chill or visit local amenities. There are bars, supermarkets and places to be excursions over the road from the hotel. There are several beaches within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. Taxis are great value for exploring local nightlife or shopping opportunities. We had a lovely time and our holiday was great value. We will most likely return at a similar time or at the end of the summer season. Huseyin and the entertainment team ensured activities were available for all guests who wanted to engage from early morning to late at night. The reception staff are so helpful, bar staff have amazing patience with guests choosing from the wide range of choices included with the all inclusive option. The hotel was built in the 1970s but has refreshed decor. Spa treatments are available, a hairdresser/barber shop on site and a tattoo parlour! This hotel has something for everyone and we have enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a good value family holiday, this may be the answer!! 😊

“Great hotel with room for improvement”

What can I say this is yet another year we have stayed at Esra Hotel. If you look at other reviews you will see that people regularly complain about the food & I would support some of these complaints to a degree. This is the first time in many years of going to Esra that I would say that most of the food on offer was way too hot/spicy(too much chilli type products used) even for me & I can eat hot food. My husband on the other hand struggles with all this spice as it does not agree with him, only suggestion I would like to make is cut back on the chillies otherwise choices would be better. On a positive note we were always able to find something to eat & to be honest if we were looking for British food we would have eaten out or stayed in the UK. Can’t really comment on alcoholic drinks as we don’t drink but there is plenty of choice of soft drinks & hot drinks. Some people say that the hotel is dated but in our opinion it is definitely fit for purpose. The hotel is very clean both in public areas and the rooms, bedding, towels are changed regular the hotel also gives each of the rooms a bottle of water daily(we did not always use it). Our room was always clean and we could not thank our cleaner enough for the effort she made. The staff as always were brilliant and attentive, very willing to help where they could. Some people complained that around the pool was slippy but what would you expect people coming in & out of the pool soaking wet, we regularly saw the pool side staff doing their best to keep things dry( in my opinion an impossible task) Have to truly comment that on this visit it was great to see that the team had made efforts to ensure the music was not too loud, my husband has problems with his hearing and he found for the first time here it was pleasant to sit around the pool, where we could actually hear each talk. When we had a bit of an incident the team at the hotel were absolutely brilliant they came to our aid and arranged all the necessary help required(thank you so much for this) We will definitely try to return to hotel Esra in the future and would definitely recommend giving it a try. We do acknowledge that although not perfect Esra is a great place to stay where you can be guaranteed a clean room with comfortable beds and very warm welcome from Ali & his team. Be assured we have seen much worse places in the UK.

“The best memories made”

“Had a great time”

Very friendly , clean family hotel , kids loved it , the food is ok for an all inclusive, alcohol and drinks are good ! Would recommend for a cheap cheerful holiday with the kids

“Esra Sept 2025”

From the time u walk through the door until the time u leave u are made to feel like family. We were a party of 9 ages ranging from 11 to 86.
