“Excellent choice for Terminal 4 travellers”

The airport shuttle was quick and effective. They allowed me to check in before at 11:50 am at no extra cost. The room is spacious, clean, and modern. This is my 3rd experience using Barajas near Hotels, and this one is the best, especially flying from T4 or T4S terminals.

“Lovely Hotel, but Some Parts Need Attention”

The hotel itself is beautiful — modern, clean, well‑equipped rooms and lovely communal areas. The restaurants were also clean and the food was good, although a little pricey and with very limited children’s options. The location is convenient for the airport, and there’s a supermarket and a few restaurants nearby. Reception staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful when arranging taxis. On our first day the pool staff were great too, but the second day we encountered a very abrupt and unhelpful member of staff. Unfortunately, several issues affected our stay: 1. Airport transfer limitations — The hotel transfer only goes to T4, which wasn’t made clear when booking. 2. Not ideal for Madrid but ideal early flights — We chose this hotel for an early morning flight, but it’s actually quite far from central Madrid. Trips into the city cost €45–50 each way, so we would have been better off booking a more central hotel and paying extra for a transfer, as the transfer to the airport (10mins away cost us €45). 3. Lack of children’s meals — Both the rooftop bar and the main restaurant had very limited options for children. 4. Inconsistent pool service — My friend wasn’t given towel cards on the first day, but the staff member sorted it quickly. The next day, the pool attendant refused to help and sent her to reception with two children under three, she didn’t even stand up from her chair. 5. A frightening lift incident — This was by far the most serious issue. We returned to the hotel at 8:45pm and got into the lift. As my friend’s one‑year‑old daughter walked in, the doors closed on her, knocking her over. Thankfully my husband managed to stop the doors closing fully surely this should have a sensor or something to prevent this. Once inside, the lift shut with four adults and three children (aged 7, 3, and 1). It didn’t move, the doors wouldn’t open, and we were trapped in 30‑degree heat.I pressed the emergency buzzer, but it took around 10 minutes for anyone to answer — and I believe they only realised because my disabled 7‑year‑old was screaming and we were banging on the door. When we were finally released, we were offered water and a very weak apology.My daughter is now terrified of lifts and having nightmares. After reading other reviews, it seems this isn’t an isolated issue, so please be aware.
