Conveniently located in central Ferrara (what isn’t, this town is tiny!) and obviously new, this moderately priced hotel is a good value for the money. Conveniently located in central Ferrara (what isn’t, this town is tiny!) and obviously new, this moderately priced hotel is a good value for the money. Note: the entrance is under the bridge that spans the street and involves an elevator to reception. Our room was oddly laid out having the beds tightly set into a corner, with another awkwardly furnished sitting area adjacent and probably the largest bathroom I have ever had at a hotel- huge even by American standards. Great shower too and spotless. The décor is a bit funky, not disturbing nor luxurious. The room also had significant storage and a mini kitchenette hidden behind doors that we didn’t use- my impression is that one would be hard pressed to actually cook anything substantive with the cookware provided. The breakfast room was cheery and the selection was more than adequate although we were not offered barista made cappuccinos until we had already taken ours from the machine, twice. We could not eat on the lovely outdoor terrace due to the season. The front desk was friendly and always staffed and was able to recommend restaurants. We selected one which was also on my list, Tre Scalin, on the edge of town, which was wonderful (if you can forgive the glaring fluorescent lighting), friendly, family owned- a real treat at a very modest price by current standards. We were grateful to NOT have our room facing the duomo as we happened to be there on a weekly party night. Bands of happy go lucky Italian youths bar hoping to the wee hours and creating quite a commotion outside which even spilled into the narrow road behind the hotel (our windows faced it) so we were not totally immune. I can’t imagine what this would be like if the windows were open!

“A little overpriced but large clean rooms”

Very large room, very central location right in the heart of the old city. Nice breakfast in a beautiful room overlooking the main square and the duomo. Very basic cooking facilities just 2 hotplates, no oven, no microwave. I thought it was a bit overpriced especially for mid January. Shower had ... lisää

Very basic cooking facilities just 2 hotplates, no oven, no microwave. I thought it was a bit overpriced especially for mid January. Shower had jacuzzi jets but our shower door was missing so we couldn't switch them on!

“Central location, but rather loud”

The hotel is located right in the center of old town, on the second and third floor. The rooms are nice and clean. But the hotel has some down sides too: - Parking is about 10 minutes walk away - Old town with it's bars and restaurants can be rather loud at night, so bring ear plugs - Breakfast s... lisää

The hotel is located right in the center of old town, on the second and third floor. The rooms are nice and clean. But the hotel has some down sides too: - Parking is about 10 minutes walk away - Old town with it's bars and restaurants can be rather loud at night, so bring ear plugs - Breakfast starts at 7:30. I was on a business trip, and had to be on the way to the customer at this time. So, no breakfast at the hotel for me. - The WiFi didn't work, and they were not able to fix it in the entire week of my stay. It is a nice hotel with a great location, but it just doesn't work for a business trip.
