Was also pleasantly surprised by the BB Bailey’s! The staff and mainly front desk were so accommodating. They made restaurant reservations and scheduled taxis for us many times. The linens were wonderful, bed so comfortable. Beautiful marble bathroom with Ferragamo products! There is a great coffee shop/bakery right around the corner. A fantastic Pinsere restaurant across the street, an amazing elegant restaurant down the street. Close to the train station, a short walk to the Spanish Steps and attractions. The street is very quiet since it’s off the beaten path. There’s a very good gelateria around another corner! A legit bank ATM is also across the street-stay away from Euronext yellow/blue ATMs

“Not just tourists and limited reception”

It was an apartohofel which was disappointing. Limited reception and people living in the block. Lots of comings and goings. Good location in financial district and close to some lovely restaurants . You need to be independent to enjoy the hotel as limited help.

“A bit short in services for a four star hotel”

It was clean and had good toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. They give you slippers. The room was quiet enough. It was clean and had good toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. They give you slippers. The room was quiet enough. The location means the restaurants around are cheaper than in the city centre and there are several very nice ones to choose from in the same street. Walking distance to Roma Termini, which was great for us. However, we were there 20 years ago and it was a really glamorous, proper 4 star hotel with a lovely bar and breakfast room, 24 hr staff in suits, elegantly decorated rooms etc.. Now although it is still a 4 stars, it is a very different hotel. Rooms are okay but nothing to do with what they were, although we did pay for a superior room. I found comments from other guests echoing this issue, that is to say, you are given a room you feel is inferior to the category you paid for. No reception between 11pm and 7 am. When I posted this review in booking.com the hotel responded that there is a night concierge but it was not true when we stayed there. After 11.00 there was no one at the desk. We had to enter, as indicated by the recepcionist when we checked in, with our keys. No bar, just a vending machine next to a very uninviting space, where the bar used to be. There are tea and coffee facilities but they couldn't give us any milk when we asked for it, so that quite defeated the purpose of said facilities for us. Staff in reception (just the one) wearing a polo shirt. For us it is a shame how this hotel has changed. We were expecting different from a 4 star hotel. But this is a very personal opinion because we are comparing with what it was 20 years ago. Our stay overall was fine but it wasn't quite value for money.

“Good but not excellent ”

Good location , Excellent bed linen and comfortable bed. Staff friendly , but compared to other 4 star properties in the same area it does not match,it has far fewer facilities, and services. Another negative during our stay was the building works taking place. 07.26 am hammering started , you could hear the workers talking imbetween loud hammering . We understand that it may have not been the hotel themselves but we should have been advised or rooms closed off . We did not expect to be inconvenienced this much.
